Behold, I have told you before. Wherefore if they shall say unto you, Behold, he is in the desert; go not forth: behold, he is in the secret chambers; believe it not. For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. (Matthew 24:25-27)

Some people think they can live their life however they see fit and then in the last moment, or last second, they can simply repent and come back to God. There are several problems with this mindset.
First, Jesus tells us that when He returns, it will be so fast that no one will have a chance to repent or change their ways.
Second, that mindset would mean that you would miss out on all the blessings and peace that a life with Christ would give to you while on the earth.
Last, living that way means you have no intention of giving your life to Jesus or to call Him your Lord. You are simply asking Him to save your spirit from eternal damnation as a last-ditch effort.
Jesus is looking for a relationship, not just to be your emergency life preserver.
You must get your life right with Jesus now, because tomorrow is promised to no one.
Practical Application
Jesus is coming soon. Are you ready? Take inventory of your life and how you spend your time. Are maximizing the moments for Jesus?
