Blessed in All Things

So then they which be of faith are blessed with faithful Abraham. (Galatians 3:9)

Abraham’s blessing belongs to all people of faith who believe in Jesus Christ. Don’t you think we should know what is ours? What does the Bible tell us about Abraham’s blessing? Genesis 24:1 tells us: “And Abraham was old, and well stricken in age: and the Lord had blessed Abraham in all things.” Abraham was blessed in all things.

To be blessed in all things means that you will be blessed physically, spiritually, emotionally, and financially. The book of Deuteronomy lists the blessings that accompany those who obey God. It covers every imaginable aspect of life. It says we will be blessed in the city and in the country. God promised to bless our children, our business dealings, and even our agriculture and animals.

When we obey God, He blesses our checking accounts and our savings accounts. We are blessed when we come in and when we go out. Some may call preaching about the blessing the prosperity Gospel, but they don't truly understand what prosperity is.

Prosperity means to be blessed in everything: blessed in your family, your body, and your relationships as well as your finances. To fight against the blessing is to fight against God. He's the giver of the blessing. He chose to bless Abraham in all things and to pass that blessing on to those who are in Christ.

God is the ultimate, perfect Father. He wants all of His children blessed in every way, just like I want my three children and seven grandchildren blessed. I want them happy, fulfilled, and prosperous because I'm their Papa, and God is our Father.

Practical Application – Abraham was blessed in all things, and as believers in Jesus, we are too. Abraham received his blessing by faith, and so do we. Don't promote sickness or lack by continually talking about them. Speak God's Word. The blessing covers every need in life. Obey God and be blessed.
