Divine Restoration and Supernatural Strength

Writer's picture: Bishop Keith ButlerBishop Keith Butler

He smote also all the firstborn in their land, the chief of all their strength. He brought them forth also with silver and gold: and there was not one feeble person among their tribes. (Psalm 105:36-37)

Before the people of God experienced total deliverance, they received instructions. God commanded them to apply the blood of the lamb to their doorposts. Moses understood that God’s judgment was imminent for the nation, so he told the people to prepare to avoid being part of that judgment within their households.

The blood symbolized Jesus, the Lamb of God, whose blood would provide total deliverance for all believers. Obeying God’s instruction didn’t just save them from death; it also propelled them into prosperity. The Bible tells us that those who had oppressed them willingly gave them their wealth. Can you imagine a slave approaching her Egyptian master: "I love that dress—give it to me. Those earrings? They're mine now. That gold bracelet? Yes, I’ll take that too.” And the Egyptians gave freely! Why? Because they desperately wanted Israel to leave. They had witnessed the hand of God and His favor upon them.

The Israelites didn’t just gain freedom from slavery; they received complete restoration. They departed Egypt wealthier than they had ever been in their lives. But this Psalm tells us they received more than just wealth. When they obeyed God, their bodies responded.

Scripture states that no one was sick, no one was too weak to walk, and no one was feeble, because when we follow and obey God, our bodies must align with His Word. When God brings you out of a struggle, He brings you out blessed. Supernatural restoration is occurring in your life. God intends to restore every loss, battle, and hardship.

Practical Application

God is the great Restorer. No matter what the enemy has stolen from you, God intends to multiply it and return it. This includes your health, finances, and reputation. Praise God for it before you witness it!
