For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh he world, even our faith. Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God? (1 John 5:4-5)
God has called you an overcomer because of your faith.

You are on the winning side! No matter what the enemy tries to throw at you, there is nothing in the world that he can do that defeats you. You will overcome any and every attack of the enemy by faith.
The Greek word for overcome is nikáō and comes from the word nike meaning to subdue and prevail. Faith will give you victory, and it will also stop the enemy from attacking others through your triumphant action.
In fact, the word victory in Greek is a word used to denote conquest.
God wants us to live as empowered, conquering victors not just for ourselves but for unbelievers and those who are still young in the faith.
We should approach challenges not as something that could take us out, but as opportunities for us to use the overcoming, victorious power that God has given us. We can destroy the works of the enemy and push him back from any territory we are connected to with the name of Jesus and the power of God’s Word.
Practical Application – When the enemy shows up in your life, instead of getting concerned, get excited! It is an opportunity to demonstrate your overcoming victory and to push the enemy back from affecting you or others.
