In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace; Wherein he hath abounded toward us in all wisdom and prudence; Having made known unto us the mystery of his will, according to his good pleasure which he hath purposed in himself: That in the dispensation of the fulness of times he might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven, and which are on earth; even in him: In whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated according to the purpose of him who worketh all things after the counsel of his own will: That we should be to the praise of his glory, who first trusted in Christ. (Ephesians 1:7-12)
What a powerful promise from God! The redemption Paul described in Ephesians 1 is not merely a future hope for believers; it’s a present reality we are called to embrace. We are no longer burdened by sin or overwhelmed by hopelessness in life. Through Christ's sacrifice, we have been redeemed to a newness of life. We have received supernatural wisdom through the guidance and direction of the Holy Spirit, securing our relationship with the Father
We were purchased at a tremendous cost: the blood and sacrifice of Jesus. God’s redemption was not easy; it came at a great price for Him. When we acknowledge the price that was paid, we should comprehend how valued we are to God and recognize our true worth. You are precious, powerful, and worthy of a significant sacrifice to God. Do not let anyone persuade you otherwise.
Paul also explained that God has richly bestowed wisdom and prudence on us, revealing the mystery of His will. God’s plan is not concealed from us but is made known through Christ. Although the enemy blinds the world around us, we, as followers of Christ, have been granted access to the revelation of God’s will.
Practical Application
When you feel confused or worried, declare the Word over your mind and heart. God has already given you insight into His will. Seek Him for direction and peace. You are no longer a slave to sin or fear; your mind, heart, and life have been redeemed, restored, and renewed.
