What if God, willing to shew his wrath, and to make his power known, endured with much long suffering the vessels of wrath fitted to destruction: And that he might make known the riches of his glory on the vessels of mercy, which he had afore prepared unto glory, Even us, whom he hath called, not of the Jews only, but also of the Gentiles? (Romans 9:22-24)

Who are the vessels, or the carriers of mercy? You and I.
Just like Paul, we are called to be warriors for the kingdom. Paul's heart was burned with passion for his own people, but he learned the importance of staying true to his assignment.
It is crucial for us to recognize that following our own passions and desires can lead us away from God's intended path. We must seek His guidance and surrender our plans to His will. God's plan for our lives was set in motion long before we even existed. He had already prepared us for glory, calling us not only from the Jewish lineage but also from the Gentiles. God's desire to extend His mercy and reveal His glory encompasses all people, transcending cultural and ethnic boundaries.
Like Paul, we are called to be warriors for the kingdom. Paul's heart was burned with passion for his own people, but he learned the importance of staying true to his assignment. He was willing to be stoned, beaten up, ridiculed and more because he believed in the message of the Gospel and was willing to do whatever it took for God’s will to be done in their lives.
Paul taught the Jewish believers that the Gentiles did not need to follow religious traditions, but to follow the Holy Spirit and faith in Christ’s sacrifice. This wasn’t very popular with the elite and powers in Paul's day; neither is it today. Many Christians want others to follow religious traditions more than they want people to get closer to Jesus.
As vessels of mercy, we are called to support those around us who are new to the faith, as they navigate what it means to fully follow God. Don’t give judgement, give mercy.
Practical Application
Being a vessel of mercy requires a conscious effort to reflect the character of God in our daily interactions. By extending mercy, forgiveness, kindness, and compassion to others, we take part in the transformative work of God's love in the world.
