Walk in the Power

And with great power gave the apostles witness of the resurrection of the Lord Jesus: and great grace was upon them all. (Acts 4:33)

Many believers spend their lives searching for a powerful anointing, rushing from conference to conference, seeking God's next great move. They pursue ministers who appear to walk in extraordinary power, hoping to catch a glimpse of what they think they lack. But the truth is that the same power that raised Jesus from the dead resides within every believer. You don’t have to look elsewhere—you are it!

Acts 4:33 speaks of great power (Greek: dunamis), the supernatural ability that enabled the apostles to testify boldly of Christ's resurrection. This power wasn’t limited to a select few; it was upon them all. The same great grace (Greek: megas charis) that empowered the early church is available to every believer today.

One of the greatest obstacles to walking in the supernatural is forgetting who we are in Christ. Instead of being God inside-minded, we act as if we are still waiting for Him to show up. But He already has! Jesus declared in Mark 16:17-18 that those who believe in Him would cast out demons, heal the sick, and operate in supernatural authority. Why? Because the Spirit of God resides in us. The enemy wants us to believe that we are weak, powerless, and dependent on outside sources for our spiritual vitality. But the Word of God declares otherwise.

If we truly believe that the power of God resides in us, our words, actions, and expectations should reflect that belief. The apostles in Acts didn’t just know they had power; they acted on it. They prayed boldly, laid hands on the sick, and expected miracles. The atmosphere should change when you enter a room because the Spirit of God is within you. Speak words of faith, expect divine encounters, and walk in the confidence of your God-given authority.

Practical Application

Don't hold back when confronted with a challenge—step forward in faith. Pray with boldness. When someone needs healing or encouragement, don’t wait for a pastor—lay hands on them and pray with expectation. Wherever you go, change the atmosphere.
