And the multitude of them that believed were of one heart and of one soul: neither said any of them that ought of the things which he possessed was his own; but they had all things common. (Acts 4:32)
The early church was marked by something supernatural—not just miracles, signs, and wonders, but an undeniable and unshakable unity. Acts 4:32 describes a body of believers of one heart and one soul. This wasn't just friendship or shared beliefs but a corporate anointing. Many seek an individual anointing, desiring God’s power in their lives. But Scripture reveals something even greater—a corporate anointing where believers unite and experience an outpouring of power beyond what they could carry alone. This is what we see in the early church. Their unity was so deep that no one claimed personal ownership over their possessions. Instead, they saw everything as part of God’s kingdom, freely shared for the benefit of the whole body.
A corporate anointing isn’t just a gathering of people—it’s a supernatural move of the Holy Spirit that flows when there is unity in faith, purpose, and love. The anointing is multiplied when a church or community walks in this kind of unity. God's presence transforms not just individuals but entire regions. Our unity is a witness to the world of God’s power and love.
The early church didn’t just talk about unity—they lived it. Their corporate anointing released supernatural power, provision, and revival. Today, we are called to the same unity. When we align our hearts with God’s purpose and each other, we will see an outpouring of His Spirit like never before.
Practical Application
Unity does not mean uniformity, but it does mean alignment with God’s will. When believers come together, the Holy Spirit moves in a greater measure. Nothing hinders unity more than offense. If we want to experience a corporate move of God, we must be quick to forgive, refusing to allow division to take root. Who do you need to forgive this week?
